Glendale's Workforce is Well Trained and Educated
Glendale's adult population is highly educated with over 35% having obtained a bachelors, graduate or doctorate degree. The City of Glendale recognizes the importance of a highly qualified and well prepared workforce and provides several means of connecting your business with qualified employees.
Glendale Community College Professional Development Center
Glendale Community College is a comprehensive public community college open to all adults and/or high school graduates. The campus is beautifully located on the slopes of the San Rafael Mountains overlooking the valleys in the Glendale area. Presently 25,000 students attend Glendale College taught by a staff of 650 faculty.
For over 20 years, the Professional Development Center (PDC) of Glendale Community College has offered free state-funded workforce training. Every PDC program is hands-on, customized to achieve company goals, and personalized to improve each California worker's skills and productivity. Glendale Community College is a comprehensive public community college open equally to all adults or high school graduates who can benefit from its programs and services. The campus now consists of 100 acres and 15 permanent buildings. It is beautifully located on the slopes of the San Rafael Mountains overlooking the valleys in the Glendale area. Verdugo Jobs Center Employer Services
Many employers have benefited from the services of Glendale-based Verdugo Jobs Center. This workforce development organization offers a full array of job placement services, up-to-date information on the regional labor market and emerging occupations, tax, hiring incentives and more.
Glendale Youth Alliance
Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) has grant funded programs that pay for up to 240 hours of youth worker wages, provide vocational skills training and workers compensation – free of charge.
GYA is a nonprofit organization working to assist Verdugo Region youth with job training and placement in the partnership with government, education, businesses and the community. The programs are designed to build civic values in Glendale’s youth and to provide a foundation for youth to learn job skills, and to become productive participants of the workforce.

California Employment Training Panel (ETP)
ETP is a business and labor supported state agency that assists employers in strengthening their competitive edge by providing funds to partially off-set the costs of job skills training that is necessary to maintain high-performance workplaces. California's ETP is a performance-based program, providing funds for trainees who successfully complete approved training programs and are retained in well-paying jobs for a specific period of time.
