Pacific BMW on Brand
Pacific BMW was founded in 1982 by David L. Ho. Jr., President/Owner and Nick Lam, Vice President. Both David and Nick graduated from the University of Southern California with a MBA degree in 1978. After working for Security Pacific Bank and Mobil Oil, respectively, they ventured out and founded Pacific BMW.
In its first year of operation, Pacific BMW successfully increased its sales volume to become the # 1 BMW volume dealer. In 2007, Pacific BMW became the second largest volume dealer in the Western Region and the seventh largest volume dealer in the nation. Glendale offered this thriving dealership a great location in the Brand Boulevard of Cars. When time came for David and Nick to grow their dealership, Glendale was the place to stay and expand. In 2008, Pacific BMW completed a $23 million new state of the art BMW facility. It is now the largest BMW dealership in the nation based on building size, boasting a multi level showroom and service facility with226,000 square feet.
The City of Glendale was instrumental in helping Pacific BMW complete its new facility. With the leadership and vision of the Glendale City Council, which approved a facility that bridged over Windsor Road, and with the help of City staff, Pacific BMW was able to build a facility that addressed neighbor concerns yet satisfied its expansion needs. The new Pacific BMW building is praised as a successful partnership between Pacific BMW, its neighborhood, and the City of Glendale.
Both David and Nick are heavily involved in charitable and social causes in Glendale. These organizations include: Susan G. Koman Cancer Drive, an organization that raises money to fight breast cancer; Child Share, an organization that finds foster homes for abused and underprivileged children; and Path Achieve Glendale, an operation that helps the homeless population in Glendale.
